I am so happy to announce that I’ll soon be adding these amazing MOSAIX to my list of photographic products.

Kelly and Dan started their business only 2 short months ago and they’re going to take Ottawa by storm!  I’ll be amongst a limited number of photographers offering their products, so if you like what you see, contact me for details!

MOSAIX are amongst their signature line of tile mosaics. These conversation pieces are a unique and stunning addition to any home.  For depth and texture, the tiles are mounted onto a fabric covered backing inside a shadow box. The tiles are spaced slightly apart, breaking up the image to give a mosaic effect.

They come in 2 sizes:
Small – Made of nine 2″x2″ tiles mounted inside a 10″ x 10″ shadow box
Large – Made of nine 4″x4″ tiles mounted inside a 20.5″ x 20.5″ shadow box

When your session is done and all the custom editing is complete, you’ll be offered a list of products that you can order including this new product.  MOSAIX can be customized into a collage of 9 photos OR simply one large beautiful feature photo. Among the mentioned customizations, we can also add mini tiles at the bottom with your child’s name, birth date, your wedding date or a word you love! The sky is the limit, Dan and Kelly will make it happen for you!

VersaTile Design is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Dan and Kelly Fallak. Yeah, thats us and our adorable son Henry over there on the left. The business is literally run out of the basement of our home in the quaint town of Almonte, On. You should come visit, it really lives up to it’s nickname “The Friendly Town”.

One day in early 2012, we heard a report on how Instagram was awarded Apple’s App of The Year. We started thinking about ways people could display their Instagram photo’s. It wasn’t long until we thought of coasters. It was a perfect marriage, the square dimensions of a coaster and the signature square format of Instagram photo’s.

So, we began to research and experiment how we could get images and graphics onto tile coasters. After many trials and failed attempts we figured it out. We soon realized that we discovered something rather special. We also realized that our method of transferring photo’s and graphics to the tiles would allow us to do much more than coasters. So here we are today. Only about a month later and our products are in stores, and we’ve expanded from just coasters, to magnets and other gifts, to our new signature art product; MOSAIX, — stunning mounted tile mosaics, a truly unique way of displaying photography and graphics.
